My
wedding ceremony was at Bellagio and I was told it was a
very difficult place to play since the room is somewhat
small. The string trio was incredible! They played
beautifully, they looked lovely (I saw a few photos of
other string trios that played at Bellagio and the
musicians were dressed in khaki pants and tennis shoes!)
and they were worth every penny. They played all of our
requests and since I was late to the ceremony they
entertained our guests...I can't imagine having recorded
music. If you are debating hiring someone else to play
at your wedding don't do it! Hire Bella Rumore, they are
the best. You really get what you pay for.

Hi Lisa,
Thank you so very much
for delivering such wonderful players, and all with such
great attitudes, for our big gig last Saturday. With all
the commotion after the gig, I didn’t get a chance to
deliver a proper goodbye to the ladies, and so please
pass on my apologies for that, and especially my
heartfelt thanks for their outstanding participation to
the night’s success. As you likely gathered, the event
was a big success – with Steve Wynn specifically
stating that it was everything he had hoped it would be!
We received great accolades from all involved, and I
trust there will be some kind of reprise – whether
another one-off or something more regular – in the
near future. Without a doubt, the inclusion of the
string quartet – although it made for a stressful few
prep days – was a big part of the evening’s success;
especially since they performed impeccably throughout.
Next time we come to town, I’d be more than happy to
use the same foursome! An especially thanks to Mary for
being such a good liaison for the quartet as a whole –
making it easier for me.
Until next time...
Best,
Nolan

This is the “birthday
day girl” here. I can’t tell you how surprised I was
on Saturday because there isn’t even a word for it. My
husband and Joslynn did an amazing job pulling this off.
And your trio really made the party come alive. The
music was absolutely beautiful and the musicians couldn’t
have been nicer or more professional. When they all said
good-bye to me I was still dazed and confused from the
fact that people had come from far and wide for the
party, so I can only imagine that I barely made sense
talking with them. Please express my sincere gratitude
to them.
Thank you very much,
Ann Sprague

Thank you very much
Lisa. Your performance has been the talk of the LVCVA
since Friday. Everyone was so impressed. That is the only
standing ovation we've ever had at a Supplier Showcase.
Thank you for all you effort and we appreciate the
downloadable press kit because all attendees wanted to
have information.
Take care,

My wife and I saw you and
the band at Brendan's this past weekend, and want to
thank you for such an inspiring performance. Everything,
from the instrumentals, and your beautiful violin solos,
to Molly Malone, to the fun you folks obviously have
on-stage, made for a very nice Fri night. My mom is from
Ireland, and she would have loved it to if she could
have been there! Thanks again,

Journal Article about Lisa
VANISHING MUSICIANS: LISA
VISCUGLIA
For violinist Lisa
Viscuglia, all the signs pointed to a career in classical
music. After all, her father, Felix, had spent 25 years
with the Boston Symphony Orchestra. She was studying music
at Harvard. Then, at age 19, her father took a teaching
job at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas -- where she
got a full scholarship to study music. And, in the
process, she surrendered to the siren song of Las Vegas.
Currently, Viscuglia plays
in the Golden Nugget lounge with the eight-member Naked
Martinis, who perform a repertoire that ranges from smooth
pop standards to disco and alternative. It's the latest
stop on a long and winding road that's taken her from UNLV
to the Strip and Glitter Gulch. "I started as one of
the strolling violins at the old MGM Grand," which is
now Bally's, remembers Viscuglia, 37. Then, "for a
time at the Excalibur, I was a princess -- one year in a
big pointy hat with a veil." She's played a smokin'
fiddle in the Golden Nugget's "Country Fever"
show and performed with in-house orchestras at the Desert
Inn and Caesars Palace -- orchestras that no longer exist
on a year-round, full-time basis.
Instead, Viscuglia and her
fellow string players work as free-lancers when headliners
such as Tony Bennett, Natalie Cole and Johnny Mathis --
artists who still use full orchestras -- come to town.
Viscuglia also serves as musical contractor for the Andre
Agassi Foundation's annual fall benefit, rounding up
members of the 60-piece orchestra that has accompanied
such stars as Elton John and Celine Dion. It's "the
gig the musicians look forward to every year," notes
Viscuglia. "It's such a wonderful job," the kind
"that's just not available anymore."
Like many local players,
Viscuglia pays a price for her dedication. Three or four
days a week, she works doing payroll, billing and front
office work at a local paging company to supplement her
income. "As a lot of musicians do, we get up and go
to our day gigs, then go to our night gigs," she
notes. Even so, "I wouldn't leave this darn town -- I
love it," Viscuglia says. "I love classical
music, but I think I like show biz a little bit
better."
